We understand that things can come up in your schedule that were never planned for but we do ask that you give us a call and let us know!
There is no fee for rescheduling your appointment we just ask that you please call no later than 24 hours before your appointment time.

As of January 1, 2024 we are requiring all clients to call us for appointment cancellations no later than 24 hours BEFORE their appointment time. We will be charging no show fees if no call is received prior to the appointment. We understand life can get in the way, we just ask that you please let us know if you are unable to make your booked appointment!

As of January 1, 2023, we will be charging a $25.00+tax no show fee to any client that does not show up for the appointment and does not call us prior to let us know of a cancellation.
*no show fees will need to be paid at the next appointment; if there are multiple on the file, we will not book anymore appointments until the fees have been cleared*

We require an up-to-date Rabies vaccine for any and all appointments being scheduled with our Technicians for the safety of our staff and your pets.
We will NOT do nail trims, ear cleanings or anal gland expressions if your pet does not have the Rabies vaccine up to date; the Rabies vaccination is a by-law and is required in the province of Ontario.

Please bring any medical records that you have for your pet, as well as a list of any medications your pet is currently taking. If your pet is new to our practice, we will also need to see proof of vaccination.
Yes, we offer grooming services for dogs and cats. Our experienced groomers can provide everything from a basic bath and haircut to more specialized services like nail trims and ear cleaning. For all grooming services, rabies vaccines MUST be up to date.
While our clinic is by appointment only, if you are having an active emergency, please call us at 905-389-0707 and we can try to accommodate your situation.
Unfortunately, no. Our team does not give out any estimates on the phone or via email. Basic vaccination and service information is on the website.
We accept cash, debit, and all major credit cards. We also offer financing options through Petcard.
We do not offer boarding services anymore as we have become busy with hospitalized patients and need to keep space available for them. Sorry for the inconvenience.
As per our new CVO guidelines, our clinic no longer allows clients to decline the heartworm testing. All clients who would like to place their pets on a flea, tick AND heartworm prevention this summer MUST have an up to date heartworm test done.

Here at EMAH we DO NOT offer any form of payment plans. However, our sister clinic Hamilton Veterinary Services is geared to low-income!
HVS does offer a 20% discount to all ODSP/OW clients and have lower costs overall!
