Hamilton Veterinary Services (HVS)

Here at EMAH we DO NOT offer any form of payment plans. However, our sister clinic Hamilton Veterinary Services is geared to low-income! 


 HVS does offer a 20% discount to all ODSP/OW clients and have lower costs overall!

  • All clients who are 60+ years of age receive a 10% discount on all treatments and diagnostics!

*this does not include food products, over the counter products or prescribed medications*

Consultation Pricing

Consultation

All appointments scheduled with a DVM will be charged a consultation fee.

General Consultation

$89 +TAX

Any appointment scheduled with a DVM must have a general consultation fee to cover the cost of the head-to-tail exam done by the Doctor each visit.

Emergency Consultation

$120 +TAX

We understand emergencies happen and want to be here to help you!

If you have an emergency and we are able to accommodate our schedule for you, there will be a higher fee due to having to move other appointments around to make room for your emergency. 

Walk-In Consultation

$160 +TAX

We are by appointment only but understand when things happen suddenly!

If we have availability at the time that you walk-in we can do our best to have you scheduled in BUT at a higher price due to the possibility of taking DVM time away from another client. 

RECHECK COnsultation Pricing

Recheck Appointments

Recheck appointments will be requested by the DVM or discussed during discharge appointments.

Surgery Recheck - Vet Tech (7-14 days post-op)

NO CHARGE

We offer a complimentary post-op recheck with our Veterinary Technicians to ensure the healing of the incision site is going as planned.

*if there are any signs of infection/issues with healing, the Vet Tech will let you know and a DVM appointment will need to be scheduled*

Surgery Recheck - Doctor

$30 +TAX

If you suspect your pet's healing process is not going as planned (i.e. infected incision area), a DVM appointment will be needed to determine if more aftercare, such as antibiotics, is needed. 

Brief Recheck <7 days - Doctor

$30 +TAX

If your pet's issue is still ongoing and it has been under 7 days since the first consult, we offer a brief recheck for that SAME issue with a DVM to discuss what the next steps would be for you and your pet.

Recheck <1 month - Doctor

$60 +TAX

If your pet's issue is still ongoing and it has been under 30 days since the first consult, we offer a recheck for that SAME issue with a DVM to discuss what the next steps would be for you and your pet.

Basic Services

All services listed require an up to date Rabies vaccine.

If sedation is required or any medical condition is present please book with a veterinarian.

Nail Trims

$24+tax

*additional charges will be applied for difficult patients

Anal Glands

$42+tax

Ear Cleaning

$29 +tax

*additional charges will be applied if medication is needed

Microchipping

$66+tax

Application and Registration.

Heartworm Testing

$80+tax

Heartworm season runs from June until November.

*If any issues are noticed while performing the above services our staff will let you know and ask if you would like to see a veterinarian before proceeding - additional fees will apply*
